  1. Access Violation- T1 Adj

    Posted 18 May 2012

Every time someone in my office tries to do a T1 Adjustment we get "Access Violation at address 00804230 module 'Profile.exe'. Read address 00000028"
Now you might say that it is faulty RAM in the computer, but it is happening on three completely different computers of different ages and types. They all do not have bad RAM.
I have called Profile support twice now and they always answer they will have to call me back. And they never call back. Support really is lacking this year.
Does anyone else have this problem and is there a work around, beyond purchasing another software program?
  2. Eligible Retiring Allowance

    Posted 21 Mar 2012

I discovered today that when recording an eligible retiring allowance in 2011 Profile does do not handle it properly on the S7. Profile should be pulling that amount onto line 240 so that it does not reduce the RRSP contribution room. Therefore the client appears to be over contributed. After 1 1/2 hours on the phone, tech support finally admitted there was a problem.
work around: You have to override the fields to and enter the retiring allowance manually on line 240.
  3. 2011.4.0

    Posted 8 Mar 2012

Where do I find the list of bug fixes for 2011.4.0.
So far NONE of the multiple issues we have been promised by tech support were in this version upgrade. Every time we would call with a issue we were told, it will be in the 2001.4 upgrade.
  4. Need a Report : Life Long Learning

    Posted 1 Feb 2012

I have the Premier version of Profile and need to run a report that shows me all 2010 files with amounts in life long learning on the RRSP schedule.
Problem I have run into is that the filters in the client explorer only allow you to filter the schedules (S1 to S8), no other forms. The Schedule S7 does not show me amounts withdrawn in previous years that have not started repayment yet.
I need to filter on the RRSP form for any amounts in Life Long Learning section.
Someone solves this one and you will be my hero!
