Profile 2011.1.0 If you want to efile your T1013

Profile version 2011.1.0 will NOT allow you to efile a T1013.

Just a heads up for those tax professionals who have not yet updated their software.

Just a warning to the programmers, that they broke the program...

And neither will version 2011.1.1 (Which was released 22 December 2011)

Thanks JoanTax for pointing that out. I have a new client that is going to be in Florida and I have the T1013 form ready to send so I can see the past year info.

The EFILE the T1013 for this taxpayer… option is not available under the EFILE menu in either the 2011 or 2010 T1/TP1 modules. Consequently, you cannot transmit form T1013: Authorizing or Cancelling a Representative electronically from ProFile. This option was turned off to allow for the rollover to 2011 T1 EFILE to which it is attached.

Workaround:

However, the T1013 form has been updated to the 2011 version and the barcode will appear on the form when it is printed. Thus, you may submit the T1013 by mail to CRA for processing.

This electronic filing option will be reactivated in an upcoming EFILE release.
