I've just tried my ProFile updater again. It says I have the most current version loaded, 2010.5.5. I was surprised that no 2011 version is out yet. When I expanded the "What's New" line:

"Changes to Tax Payable .... for the 2011 tax season", I see a 2011.0.0 version that was supposed to be released in Sept., 2011. I don't know why the Updater is not bringing that in.

Is there anywhere I can go to check to see what version I should have?

I downloaded & installed the full version yesterday to V2011.0.5. Then key-in the new license number & check new update. Got the V2011.1.0 this morning.

Just tried again and got no update. My licence says it is good until Dec. 31. Do I have to go download the whole program to be current?

In order to update to 2011, you have to download the new version of profile from the website. The updater does not handle the upgrade from 2010 to 2011.

Ok, I'm having a similar problem. We are updated, we get the messages that there is a new update available, the update page says I have the latest version already, but I do NOT.

Suggestions?

I'm in V2011.2.0 now. Will see how this new one goes.

I have a post in the "ProFile Software General Discussion" that describes the updating process I needed to do for the 2011 update. Perhaps that might apply to you. The direct link (if it works) is below.

We have updated all our machines in the office (full install), and the update screen says I have V 2010.5.5 even though my 'about' screen in Profile says 2011.1.1

When I try to use the updater, it's telling me I have the most current version (which, as of last week, I do not.) I've downloaded the distributable patch, but really, we're kind of leery of using it.

Profile team? care to explain how to get my update?

Had the same problem.

Solution, as provided by the Profile support person was to uninstall the previous installation and then do a clean install of Profile 2011.

Once I did that, everything was fine.
