28 Prime Ministers ... from 1867 to 2011 ... 22 of them Lawyers ... Not one .. *NOT ONE ACCOUNTANT* why? Who better to run a country .. balance a budget .. why are we putting this country into the hands of Lawyers and not accountants .. why aren't accountants in politics ?

Reminds me of the joke my brother (a lawyer) told me. What's the difference between a catfish and a lawyer?

One is a bottom-feeding scum sucker. The other is a fish.

I agree that we have had too many lawyers serving the nation's highest office. But replacing them with accountants? That's a stretch! There is already enough apathy towards politics among Canadians and you think that an accountant will get them excited? I think you are dreaming about coloured beans!

If we had an accountant running the country what would happen if we had inflation?

He would put his head in the sand and say it doesn't exist and shouldn't be accounted for! :)
