Is there a way for ProFile to join (couple) a mother and son so that the tuition credits can be transferred automatically?
Any help would be appreciated. This is my first year using ProFile.

Thanks

Yes and No.
Coupling is for couples - married or common law.
The son should be listed on the mother's return throught the dependent screen, that will link the two returns so that transfers if appropriate can happen automatically

The family linking feature in ProFile connects returns for dependants and supporting persons. If you have already populated the dependant field, just select the appropriate column in the Dep Screen and right click. You should see an option to link the returns.
Alternately, if you have completed the dependant's return, just enter the SIN on the taxpayer's dependant screen and link as above. The information will flow up into the taxpayer's return.

You say: "This is my first year using ProFile". Which Professional Tax Software were you using before you switched to ProFile?
