Hi
Can somebody explain to me how to transfer a file from taxprep to profile T2. I decided to change programs from taxprep to profile T2 but most of my work was done in taxprep allready. Is this an option in profile T2. I know i can redo the T2 but if i can save some time I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Julia

Make sure first that you have the correct GIFI codes in the trial balance. Then choose File / Export / Tax Software and choose the correct tax software and tax year. Pretty straightforward. I've never had a problem with this.

You wouldn't be able to post the first couple of lines from a GIFI export file would you? Turbo Tax integration with Quickbooks 2002 is broken, but Turbo Tax apparently supports a GIFI (GFI) file import that I imagine is a pretty simple delimited text file or something. If I could just get the format I am sure I could extract and transform some Quickbooks 2002 export/report.

Thanks.

Sorry, you are off topic, and are talking about completely different software programs, and completely different issues, in a completely different forum.
Your issue is probably best directed to your corporation's Accountant.

Profile support carry forward from Taxprep and Cantax. what you need to do is to carryforward previous year tax return which you prepared by using Taxprep to Profile.

Hello,

I'm also trying to transfer my GIFI information into TurboTax Business Incorporated 2011 from Quickbooks 2007. The TaxLink does not work between these two versions so I'm trying to convert to .xls (via the Tax Summary Report) and then .gfi. I'm having real trouble finding the file format for .gfi. Can anybody help me here?

Thanks.

You are on Intuit's Profile professional software site, not Turbo Tax D-I-Y site.
