On a pre-printed T4A, would it be too much trouble to have the S.I.N. print in the designated box instead of half an inch below it. It now shows through the envelope window, making all our preparations completely useless. Yes, I know we can use the laser facsimile, but it's unprofessional looking. We're not working off of our kitchen table here folks....

This sounds like they are using the first version of the preprinted T4A slips. There was a second version released which raised the box for the SIN.

Yeah, I would agree with that assessment Tim. It was more of a rant than a question.

I might have to start dealing with some professionally designed software that keeps up on this stuff.

No offense to you or your office, Bert, but I prefer the pre-printed myself.... My point is that "professional" software should be capable this.

Sam: We're using 2010.2.0

Just for the record.... the S.I.N. on the laser facsimile is also visible through the window on the envelope.

We are using different software for printing out our T4s/T5s etc; so don't have that problem. Have never tried Profile's T Slip printer, although am paying for it. We just find that the smaller program is more elegant, faster and prints really nice on the "free" forms generously provided by Mr. Harper.

He even printed and provided two versions of the T4A to us.

We have a guy in the next office using Cantax and he is jumping up and down too!

We don't have that many T4As, which is good, because they generate more questions from CRA.

Okay.... Some response from Profile would be appreciated. Is there going to be a fix for this? Perhaps they could recommend a work around. I've considered using non-windowed envelopes, but for the life of me cannot figure out how to produce mailing labels from T slips of a company in FX. Single window letter envelopes will work if folded exactly right (of course, we don't use single window letter envelopes) but it's risky, and seems like a lot of work when I've already purchased software to help with this.

Hello Intuit! Your software's broken.

Apologies on the timing of the T4A pre-printed update this year. We really do share your frustrations. We will be looking at alternatives this summer in hopes that we can improve this.

For an immediate label solution, there are ways to extract the address data from T-slips into a Microsoft document and then use those applications to create the mailing labels. Should you wish to do this, you can download a package from here:

http://anon.intuit-c...SDK_English.zip

In that zip file there is a spreadsheet called "Slip recipient mailing list". When you run the macro it contains, it will extract the slip data from the slip-type that you select. From there you can use that extracted data to create mailing labels. Note: You must have the FX file open in ProFile that you wish to extract from when you run this.

Hope this helps
