Ontario Credits and Grants ON-BEN 6118 & 6119

Any chance we can have an module option setup (Default toggle)to automatically select the various ONBEN credits or alternately a notice that taxpayer missed selecting based on entries for rent/property tax or postal codes for Northern Ontario?

Hi Arliss,

We are looking to add audit messages in an upcoming release (but unfortunately, not for our R2 release) for situations where you are claiming the current year credit but did not make an application for the subsequent year on the ON-BEN.

My first choice would be a module option choice to have the program automatically check box 6118 and/or 6119.

I still think this would be a good idea for us Ontario folk.

Intuit...do you plan on calculating/displaying the expected Ontario Trillium monthly benefit amount so we can inform our customers of same? I understand that CanTax does provide this feature?

Taxprep 2011 also provides an application form for new and renewal of OAS, plus a calculation of the amount.
