The Memo field now automatically inserts date stamp to the contents. Anyone knows how to un-set this at default? I can't even erase this date stamp details from such contents.

FYI, use Ctrl+Y (not Ctrl+C) to Copy at the Memo field.

To default to 'off'

Go to Options | Environment Options
Choose the Edit tab
Uncheck "Auto Insert Memo Date Stamp"

Thanks, Lee....

While at the said Edit tab, with the "Right Click Copy, Cut, Paste" line checked, this feature still isn't shown within my V2010.0.0 Basic's Memo field. Is it just me?

Hi lousikam,

Sorry for the delay - I was off on holidays.

That option does not govern the memo capability. The two are not related. With that option checked you may right-click on a field in a form and get the options of cut/copy/paste in the right-click menu.

To copy/paste within a memo you can use keyboard shortcuts as you mentioned above.

I remember in the early versions (2002-2003??) this feature was applied to the memo field as well. I may be wrong.
Hope it is there (as in the tape field) in the coming update.
