I'm on Windows 7. I've updated to version 2009.50. When I open some files; not all files or any files just some of them; I get "unrecognized file format". I have search the community and found the same issue in the past. But the "work around" used for Vista does not work this time. In addition in the PROREG file there is no T22010. Why? Also when trying to load a file you first get a message asking if you haven't already submitted the file to CRA and asking if you are sure you want to open it. Just say no; and surprise, surprise it will open. What's all this about? I wonder what else this new version is going to do to me!

Hey Mozart,
Sounds like a hiccup with the install of the T22010 module. Did you try re-installing? (Maybe try the full download if you haven't already)
If that doesn't work then please call our support team. This will be much more easily solved in that way.
Best of luck.

Yes, that is correct.
You are also supposed to have a file called T22010.dll in that same folder. I'm guessing that file is what is missing and is causing you problems. A new install with 2009.5.0 will most likely fix this by installing the needed files where they are supposed to be.
If that reinstall fails to fix this then it will take more in-depth troubleshooting for your system. For that, I recommend talking to our support team.

I think it's appropriate that I let everyone know about my experience in the installation of the new profile version. My first telephone call to tech support was not productive. It is after this telephone call that I posted my problem on this forum. The response that I got from Lee convinced me that a solution was at hand. I made a second call to tech support and this time the results were quite different. Apparently when you go into the license details you're supposed to see 2008/2010 for T2s. When upgrading from the software itself problems can ensue with the new version. The tech informed me that downloading the version from the website and then deploying it will solve the problem. Those who have responded to me were correct including Lee.
I want to thank all of you for having responded to me. I now see why this forum so important.

Count another user with the same issue.
As with Mozart and others, a full download and install solved the problem.
Wish I could offer some helpful info to the development team, but the problem affected just "SOME" files.
Specifically - I carried forward 2 T2 files, entered some data, saved both as work in process, then was unable to reopen them.
But ..... I did the same thing a few days earlier with several other files, and had no problem.
Thanks, everyone.
