Just read the News from CRA dated April 22 that the deadline is hard this year on April 30.
To file on-time after April 30, the record has to have been "returned for correction", when you have until May 6 to correct and retransmit.
I can't remember what the wording was in prior years, is this same or is April 30 hard and fast this year?

It seemed the same to me when I read the email from the efile folks at CRA. I think this is normal, file by April 30th, correct by the 6th

It is to early yet for the 2nd notice, which extends the deadline for anyone having trouble transmitting...
I will probably just jinks myself by saying this but for the first time ever I might not need the second extension. 13 files left all reviews finished, just waiting for folks to sign and file.
Only one to come in on Thursday morning, should be pretty straightforward as it is a proprietorship and I know their bookkeeper well - she is excellent. This is normally one of my first returns however the client was just released from hospital yesterday after knee surgery.

presumably this applies to "profile" files only, so if "quicktax" readers are reading this, they are in the wrong place and probably getting the wrong information
wrong...

i know that being able to say that must have made your day
though in my defence, i did say "presumably" and "probably", not "definitely" http://community.intuit.ca/discussion/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif
