Does anyone know how to enter outstanding cheques to a new company file in QB?

I have already entered the opening balance for the bank. So does that mean I have to subtract the outstanding cheques in order to enter them in?

nope, as you will have a dr and cr to the same account. Tick off the entries on the deposit side, and you will end up with a reconciled opening balance....

(program will give you a warning message as you make the entries. You can ignore that...)
