Possible bug?? Or my system

When I minimize Profile to the taskbar, I can't recover it...it is then entirely unavailable.
I either have to close it (sometime impossible) and relaunch, or I have to reboot entirely.
If I have two programs open, and simply switch between the, all is fine.
Profile is the only program I use that behaves this way
I'm using XP Pro, service pack 3
Any ideas as to why??

Have you tried ALT-TAB and does it show up on your screen?

Nope, just tried it.
What I get is a "movement" towards the "clock side" of the task bar (where resident apps show icons), but nothing happens. When I right click on the task bar icone, I see the restore, move close etc, but sometimes I can "close" (so the task bar icon disappears and I can relaunch) and other times I can't close, make the task bar icon disppear, or relaunch...so I have to reboot.

When I minimize, the maximize option is available on the right click, but nothing happens ...the screen is not restored. But the maximize option is then unavailable...the "minimize" is.
Click again to "mimimize, again, nothing happens, but the "maximize is then available.
So the max min does appear to "toggle" as if everything is working, but the only right click option that works (most of the time) is "close"

Just a thought, have you switched from multiple monitors to single?
The program could be restoring off screen.
Right click, select move and hold down either right or left arrow key.

You win the prize FASTAX....that is EXACTLY the answer...I had the second monitor off because of the nature of the work I was doing, so it was disappearing into the void...
Thanks big time. It was frustrating!
