I wonder if it is super manual on the ins and outs on Profile, or just a bookkeepers, dream manual on how every one can prepare tax returns.

Server set ups, multi users, admin functions. etc.

If it was a super manual, that I would buy, How to prepare taxes, that I can do without.

After Looking at the table of contents, and the last page on the table of contents.

This is more of a Bookkeepers dream manual on how everyone can do tax returns.

Last line of the last page says it all:

"Teaching Taxes Program – Student Workbook 2009"

Not even a bookkeeper5s dream manual. It looks more like a kitchen table tax preparer's manual

You are right folks! This was written with education as the main focus, to line up with the ProFile Education Program and the CRA Tax Education Program. A great deal of tax preparers will use ProFile for the 1st time every year. This will help them and introduce them how to get ProFile going for there business. It Also, will help firms with the training of new tax preparers.

So, it is intended for the new end-user, not for the experinced or seasonal user.

Come on Bert, we are on the same team :)

SPG, you should be in contact with Arlene Arlow (she used to be on this board)....

She wrote a great QB manual a few years back

And all kidding aside, Mr. Ford, I wish you all the best with your manual, and hope it helps people become better at using Profile. At one time I too would have welcomed a manual, but right now I would be more likely to be the manual writer.

At the same time I wish to express the sentiment that CRA should move towards some kind of licensing program....

Well, a couple of things.

1. The discount code did not work! My credit card has been charged for the full Price.

2. How do I go about returning the book to you. A quick review shows that this is not what we were looking for. We were looking for a 'dummies' book about preparing tax returns using profile, NOT a brag book about I know everything and you know nothing!!!!

Please advise

Easter.
