I've used profile in 2007 and 2008. I recently purchased a new comptuer and want to transfer all of my tax files to my new computer. I intend on purchasing profile 2009, hower I dont know how to transfer my clients files to my new computer.

How do I find them on my old computer and where do I put them once my new versiopn of profile is installed.

Do a File Save and note where the file is being saved at the bottom of the save dialog box.

However, you may find it better to call Intuit and get assistance with determining exactly the directories that you will need to transfer over since you likely want the settings also transferred. I noticed that there are differences between operating systems where the files save. If you purchased the license in 2009, it runs until Dec 31.

However, note that you are not allowed to take client files from an employer.
