Hi all,

I'm redoing my corporate taxes for 2007/08 and have just bought Quicktax Business Incorporated 2007. I have the latest version of Quickbooks.

Whenever I try to import Quickbooks into Quicktax, I get a error message - "There was an error opening Quickbooks. Please start Quickbooks and open the file you would like to import from."

Quickbooks is running and the file is open. Can you tell me what I can do to correct this problem?

Thanks.

Henry.

why would you want to wast time importing and then adjusting?
bookkeeping data is different from tax data

much quicker just to prepare the tax independently

however, i cannot understand what you mean by "RE-doing" corporate taxes - in Candada this is not allowed, you can only file once.
is there some readon that you refuse to allow your accountant to do it?

you could have posted without making a personal insult on my tax opinion

since you have this opinion and want to do as above, it is unfortunate you appear to misunderstand tax

tax is a serious matter, and needs proper consideration and attention

if you want to prepare tax in a unique way different from the way your corporation's qualified accountant would likely do it, probably its better to do it in private

maybe email or PM intuit's programming staff directly and ask one of them to prepare your corporation's taxes
