I'm a little confused now that we've rolled into 2009 as to what I needs to be filed for a 2009 T2 Paper Return. For a very straight forward Corporate return is it just the 2 page bar code return as the keying summary no longer is available? No GIFI returns nothing else I assume as the Barcode contains all this information.

I thought Profile's print copy no longer complies with CRA's requirement for print returns, (with respect to barcoding) - or do I have this wrong?

Would be nice if Intuit document these changes more clearly or at all so that we understood what needs to be done.

Any help would be appreciated.

you have a few more months of being able to file T2 paper (ie just the barcode, which profile does do)

for year-ends later than Dec 2009, profile (basic) is NOT compliant with CRA requirements

T2 Bar Code Return

Effective May 2009, the newest versions of CRA-certified software produce the T2 Bar Code Return which contains all the identification information and financial data. They no longer produce the T2 Return and Schedule Information (RSI). Corporations are no longer required to submit the T2 RSI

Hardev, any clue when Profile (basic) will be made compliant for year-ends ending after Dec 2009?

(Since 2002 Preparers could (optionally) have been efiling, if Profile basic had permitted them to do so - after Dec 2009 for most corps this compulsory and is longer optional, but Profile basic still cannot do this)
