Also, the drafted 2009 T1 shows no "Home Renovation Credit".
There is no HRTC on any draft forms released by the CRA at this time. Generally, this first release is simple conversions focusing on the basic forms only.

The icon bar could still use a little work to make them less similar looking and lets make the client explorer icon a little more significant.
I used to be able to resize the icon bar to have 2 rows of forms to select. Now I can no longer do this. It will only size to 1 icon high. I try to keep as many common forms as I can on the icon bar.
Can this be fixed?
thanks

And also consider adding the "drop-down" arrow to the end of the short-cut toolbar to access more "hidden" icon there.

I'd really like to have the ability to add a second row of icons also.
I have a another "better" suggestion - I can't understand what the icons mean in the new 2009 version.
Maybe its just me, but what the heck do the "dots" mean in the switch to spouse position?
Also, the icons seem to be overly large and take up too much space, I can't see all the ones I want on the page!
Are these the final icons for the 2009 version?

You're right Bert, the icon update was not on your list, but yours isn't the only list that we received. There are a number of items from your list that I know we have already done in 2009.0:
- allow PDF attachments in all modules
- Archive and PDF creation freezing the program
- add the TX19 to the T1 module
- restored the ability to allocate auto expenses to the business when that business is a partnership

Hey Carole, thanks for pointing this out. We missed this in our testing and our test plans have now been modified to prevent a defect like this in the future.
The forms shortcut toolbar will wrap to accommodate more shortcut buttons in our next release, 2009.1.0.

Real in depth users changes for the program actually take some time to plan out, "Program" and Implement" ( Not just patches )
Hard to sell something that no one can see and touch.
Intuit still has not fixed the auto schedule problems that was brought up to them by Spence over 3 years ago. ( I may be wrong, but doubt it.)
I would put down even money that they have not tested the Program with Window 7 yet. As only "ONE" person on the help desk line has knowledge
and usage to Vista 64,and 32 issues. Windows 7 is here to stay, like it or not. XP is going to the grave.

You have gotta be kidding!!!!!
Your only saving grace is that Cam and Stephen launched a program back in 1997 that was far ahead of its time, sort of like the Avro Arrow. Those are the laurels you are still resting on!
Since Intuit took over Profile, Intuit has not made even ONE substantial change...
(outside of the backwards icon change)
You guys are so full of it, that you would not even listen to one of the architects of the program, Cam Peters, in what improvements to implement!
Give me a break!

The first “substantial change” we’ve introduced was document linking (check File | Document Linking …) that’s available in 2009.0. The icon refresh was the second. The remaining changes are more internal to the product (e.g. the TX19, adjustments to the busauto worksheet etc.) and our internal processes to help us deliver more, faster, and with higher quality than you’ve seen over the past few years.
This is also 2009.0 – a preview release, with 2009.1 being the first true major release.

That, however, is not what we got.
What you gave us, I already have, and better, in ClientTrack.
Adding a new form is hardly a program enhancement, certainly not substantial, expecially as this form was always available in FX.
The tinkering with the business auto is fixing program errors. We purposely left program fixes off our improvements list.
The icon change is not likely to speed up the program any, will just slow down the operator....
As to 'internal' changes, hard to see how that will speed up the program any....
And higher quality...?????
Suggestion for you.... why not give us a brief overview of actual improvements that you see likely as being implemented before next tax season.... a short 4 months away....

But Dave there was no need to change the icons all it did was make it harder to deal with something new that wasn't in the interest of the customer
