Not really sure where to put this or whether anyone within the Quickbooks community can help me. The company I work for has just received a receipt for our R&D Tax Credit Claim. Can anyone help me with the double entry needed for this? The receipt is reimbursement of PAYE & NI already paid.
Any adivse would be greatly appreciated!

perhaps you meant to ask the quickbooks community instead of here, but in any case the only person who can tell you where to put it in your company is the professional accountant for your company
certainly the canadian tax authorities would not be much interested in your HMRC issue

Debit the bank with the deposit,
Credit the account, " Ask your accountant" or Misc. Account
When you have time call your tax accountant and ask him what account "HE/SHE" wants you to use.
or
He/She may tell you that they will journalize the entry at year end to the account they want it to.
This is valuable advise as no one knows how your accountant set up the R&D
