Just tested multicurrency (really latest built of QB 2007) (latest release - V16.0C R20) - Profile import works...

Have a multitude of QB versions on my 'puter, from version 6 all the way through version 18 (2009), including the new Enterprise...

Will post this also on the Profile side of the board, for reactions...

This is the second major issue I have had with the new 2008 Multicurrency version of Quickbooks Pro since it was rammed down my throat July 1, 08.
The only reason my multicurrency client is on this version is because he was using Quickbooks Payroll and had to upgrade
Prior to the upgrade, these problems did not exist.
The first problem was when I found out that Multicurrency and 2008 cannot reside on the same computer - Financial Statement Designer will not run - something to do about SDK conflicts.
2008 had to be removed from my computer and took about 3 hours to remove. The uninstaller program would not remove everything when you have both versions on the same pc, so had to use a special registry checking tool JV16.

Today, I find that Profile cannot import Quickbooks Multicurrency data into the tax return.
I contacted Profile Customer support today and they said that is was known problem, first reported June 20, 08, they are working on it, but today is September 16, 2008 and it is not fixed yet.
Profile says there is no work around other than entering all the data manually.
I then contacted Quickbooks Customer support and my call was routed to India - no problem to me where they reside - except they had never heard of Profile and didn't know it was made by the same company.
I was told that Quickbooks does not support 3rd party applications and so there was nothing they could do.
So my question at the end of this frustrating rant is.

Has anyone found a work around to the quickbooks 2 profile import problem?
I don't want to manually enter the data for all these returns.

Thanks

Take the file into caseware then export a Gifi from Caseware.
All my files are done in Caseware. This works for me.
