Hi there,

I've got two users with the same error, one using Windows Vista, the other still on Windows XP. The specific error message is:

The following errors show up:
Feature transfer error:
Component: French Privacy Files
File: F:/Program Files/Profile/Help/Privacy/FR/Formulaire de
Error: The file name, directory name, or volume label syntax si incorret.

Both computers have always been set to English - does anyone have any thoughts on why this might occur?

Thanks for your help,
Dean

Thanks for letting me know - I now have 6 students across Western Canada with this problem now, and there so far doesn't seem to be any common thread.

What would be great is if Intuit had a checklist of sorts of questions they could provide so we can start trying to find a link.

Hopefully they come up with something soon.

From Intuit:

1. Select Control Panel

2. Select "Regional and Language Options"

3. Select the "Advanced" tab

4. Select "English (United States)" in the drop down box.

5. Restart computer.

6. Install ProFile.

7. Repeat steps 1 - 3 and return language to original setting.

8. Restart computer.

This has been solving the problem with our students.
