I have checked everything I can think of and am now at a complete loss.

When I try to print a 2006 return the T1 Jacket does not print and Schedule 1 prints with a Do Not File water mark.

I can print the Jacket and Schedule 1 just fine when I choose to print the current form

Every other print job I ask for works just fine.

Any ideas?

For some reason it looks like Profile is picking up the wrong Print Job when you go to print the return.

In the options-->Form Selection-->2006 T1 there are 6 different print jobs (T1 Paper, TP1 Paper, T1 Early Business, T1 Efile, TP1 EDI, and T1 Review). Each of these print jobs has a specific condition for when it should print.

For some reason it almost looks like the T1 Review job rather than the T1 paper job is being selected by Profile when you go to print a 2006 T1. If you look at the properties of the 2006 T1 Review it will say something like "Select this job when" and there will be a condition. Mine shows nothing in here (ie never print this job). Perhaps you have something in this line which triggers this set to print rather than the T1 paper set. Alternately perhaps none of the conditions under which the T1 Paper job should be selected are met so Profile then defaults to T1 Review. On my system the condition to print the T1 paper job is simply when EFILE=0.

In addition.... it appears that *if* Profile is picking up the T1 Review job to print your 2006 T1's that the T1 jacket is not checked off in the Form Selection Details.

When you go to print a return Profile tells you which print job it is going to be using to print the return. When you select print....... in the Print Details it will say something like "T1 paper for CRA" or "T1 EFILE for CRA" or "T1 Review" type of thing.

Other than that....... I can't think of what else could be causing this.

As a work around, if\when all else is printed, can you go to the 2006 T1Jacket and "print the current form"??

Spg:
Thanks for the hints, I will check them all.

The interesting thing is that it only happens with 2006 T1 paper. I have done a number of 2007 paper returns and one 2005, they all print fine.

John:
That's what I am doing. I use "print form" for the T1 Jacket and for Schedule 1. It's a bit of a pain, but one hopes not to see very many 2006 returns (2 so far)

In the next week or so I may well find out if it goes back farther. I had a new client approach me 2 weeks ago. She has been in business since 2002 and has never filed since she started her proprietorship.

She has also not done any bookkeeping since she started. She has all her paper records, all neatly filed by month, but that's it. I sent her away to find a bookkeeper (I recommended a couple who do pretty good work and who are not afraid to call me if they have a question).

In any case guys thanks for the suggestions.
