In Ennist et al. v. MNR, on the basis of the court-defined term "ordinarily" and the Oxford English Dictionary definition of "inhabit," the court determined that "ordinarily inhabited" means "in most cases, usually or commonly occupied as an abode. " The court accordingly concluded that the taxpayer's "24-hour stay" in a housing unit did not meet the requirements of the term "ordinarily inhabited."
