We appear to have some BASIC priorities messed up...

The T2 Basic CANNOT even "eco-file"

Instead of a DISCOUNT for "eco-filing" the charge is an ADDITIONAL $400.00!

With current program capabilities, it would be much more appropriate for the "Premier" to be $800 (or ideally much less)

And the "Basic" slapped with a "carbon tax" of least $400...

Hippy!

Just kidding Joe. I agree with you that basic e-file should be on all...ALL software. It is not really a special feature anymore.

Joe:

Thanks for keeping up the good fight on this one.

With the number of times efiling T2's has been mentioned, one would think a software company that cared about its customers would have done something about it.

I don't efile, so I can't sympathise. I guess Intuit feels it's a "convenience" users will pay for, or it is "in demand" from users' clients, so again an increased price is collectible...

But I always avoid subsequent August September requests to substantiate claims\income tec. They get it all up front. Plus my clients get a tangible item. When there's lots of paper, they see the value of time\expertise required to prepare their often complex returns.

But Joe, I buy paper made from 100% recycled fibres, so you don't have to be ecologically unfriendly to do the same.

And knowing where you live, it seems to me you'd be wanting to support your local industry :)

OOPS TeeToo Efiling. Me too!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta love your persistence on this issue Joe. Start a poll here. I'll click yes.
