 Don't know much about programming, but am curious to know if anyone has or has knowledge of any custom programming that draws on the Profile database, if possible. The reason being I would like to be able to print T1 control sheets with various bits of info coming from the Profile database. I have done a bit of this in User1 form, but the content and format is a bit too difficult to deal with. Additionally, I think we are limited to only two custom documents (User1, User2), so I'd rather start with something more limitless - as I would want to add a T2 control sheet, and possible some database support documents. Any knowledge of (planned?) or custom integration with Outlook, or other programs might help.

Thanks for any comments in advance.

Download the SDK from the ProFile website...you can use it to extract anything you like to an Excel file.

If you have the Premier product line, you can use the export feature to gather field information from returns and list it within a comma separated value [.csv] file that will be able to be imported into any spreadsheet application. (Excel, Lotus, OpenDoc, etc)

Once imported into your spreadsheet, data manipulation and filtering is entirely under your control.

This is a simplier solution to using the SDK for anyone not completely versed with Microsoft Visual Basic code.

I agree. But for the "Basic" module user, it seems we can't export files beyond the 2004 tax year. Am I wrong?

If you are using Basic, then you are in a boat without any oars.
