Decided a May 31 2007 YE would be fine. Co have been inactive since October 2006, so nothing on the BS except share capital, a small deficit, and some monies due to the SH
When I go to print, I get a message saying that Fiscal periods ending after April 30 2007 are not supported. Please wait until the next version of Profile.....
I have 2006.5, the latest version.....
1) what happens if I print anyway
(I know I'll try to...but I'll ask the question anyways).....and upon trying it, it does not automatically print the RSI but you can check the box for the RSI off...but the message does say the return will not be accepted by CRA.... maybe send them a "hard copy" instead of an RSI set??????)
2) when will a version come out that "supports" a may 2007 year end???

and the best part is
" It is C.R.A.'s fault" " They have not approved our forms yets."
Now is that special or what.
I have a few year ends ready to go with April and May year ends and am waiting for the next update.

"We cannot give you a more exact date other than the end of June or first couple weeks in July"
That is when we can expect our T2 updates.
and I thought that when we paid more for our software this year we would get it faster.......
Boy was I wrong!

I believe that the justification for the increase in price was to provide more "Quality Control" at their end before releasing software.
If so, then the next version should be PERFEDT, er PERFECT before it is released!

You may have mis-named this thread... ;)
Maybe should be
"Year-End Accountants not supported"... :P
But perhaps another opportune time to repeat the mantra:
Practice Management, Bells, and Coffee-making be damned -
Need working version Tax Preparation and Efiling functions only...
.

Not to be confused with big BERT
Well, good or bad, I am back on Profile due to changes in our practice structure. Oh well, now I can see what all the bitching and complaining was about last year

There are a few new CCA classes shown at S8Class's drop-down menu, hope all have titles attached in the future version. In the meantime, is there an online source detailed all the CCA Classes & rates? I searched the CRA, Ministry of Finance & Department of Justice sites with no result. Thanks for sharing this in advance.

If you search for Business Income Tax Measures under the following web page:
http://www.budget.gc...e.html#business
you may find a description of what you are looking for but I find no specific class references.

To those who have updated and actually used the new T2 module...
Have any problems popped up yet?
I am waiting my usual week to see any glitches are there before I actually install.
If anyone has problems, lets hear them, here!

Hi everyone,
I just updated the profile for FY after April.30.
I am trying to print out CT23 for an inactive return. But Profile didn't select the CT23 Exempt and schedules for printing automatically. For CT23short, it seems fine.
Is there anything I need to set up to automatically select the forms?

This issue has already been reported with the latest release and it is currently being worked on. A patch release to fix this printing issue and couple of other minor problems will be released soon. For now you can print the CT23 Exempt manually for filing.
Thank you for bringing the problem to our attention.

In case anyone else has this problem... I was able to fix it by changing the status to "unknown", saving the file, closing the file, reopening the file and saying "yes" to update to 2005-2007 module. Hope this helps someone else...
