Hi. New to this. I prepared a file for two clients (spouses) in QuickTax and they don't have access codes. I have an efile membership, but how do i file QuickTax and if I can't, how can I transfer the informaiton from quicktax to Profile? As i say, this is my first time around.

You are not allowed to use their personal access codes. Thats kinda against the rules.

Your clients will need to call CRA and request personal access codes. When they receive them, they need to physically enter their own information and file from your computer.

Oh come on....

either you are an efiler or you are not. If you are, take ownership of your work and put it through efile, not someone elses netfile.

Maybe they should do their own return on that computer as well.

If they are paying someone to prepare it, it should not be going through netfile.

I vote Bert's reply as the best. Polite, succinct and to the point though he did miss the point that QuickTax can't use the Efile membership and ProFile can't use the NetFile access codes.

Joe, I am not saying I am not taking ownership. I think my question had more to do with how do I transfer the information to Profile so that I can file it for them, rather than re-entering all the information again. Being lazy here, not cagey!

I think you will need to re-enter everything.

Thank you Tim. An honest answer...even though it hurts!
