Select File---->Print/Email PDF
or
Ctrl+Alt+P

Make sure there is a checkmark in the "select print job" (Paper, Efile etc).

Now click on the Advanced tab near the bottom left of the screen to open up the advanced print details. Up near the top where it says Print Details put a checkmark in box 1 of the 5 print jobs where it says Email these sets (PDF). As soon as you put a checkmark in this box the form selections for PDF will show up. From there you should be able to Preview and/or Build PDF.

As I've posted in previous threads, use

http://sourceforge.n...cts/pdfcreator/

for all your PDFing needs. It's perfectly reliable and offers many more advanced options. Plus, it's open source (i.e. free).

I tried the PDF converter and didn't like the Word results. Uninstalled the software and found that ALL my printers had been deleted. So caution to others who want to try the trial version.

I have no idea what you were using, because there is no trial version. :o

Produced results are completely identical to what your printer would produce (or any other PDF converter, most of which use the same open-source engine). If you don't like the output, you can't blame the program. It's quite perfect.

Skuj,

So you replace the printer with your open source product, but you are not addressing the issue.

The issue at hand is how to remdiate the pdf - emaill intergration that Profile offers.

Can you help with that?

Easter.

But why use the "Profile pdf printer" at all?

Me, Id rather go back to the days when "tax software" was only for "preparing taxes".... and cost slightly less than its current price level equal to the GDP of a small country...

This feature is in itself rather useless, as it will only send out individual PDFs inside text-only emails to clients that have their email specified in Profile. Whipee! Until Intuit allows us to do this in batch (and they won't, per my thread from Jan or Feb) I can't fathom a reason for needing this beyond the solution offered.

While I don't know about everyone else, for the next 2 weeks, I'd rather solve my problems than diagnose Profile.

Cheers.

Joe,

Thank you for stating the obvious to the young lad.

Setup your 'tool box' with reputable service providers and their is no need for an 'IT Guy'.

Back to the crutch vs tool questions from last year, right Mr H (where you are)

Easter

Personally, I like the "Do Not File' watermark included with Profile's pdf writer.

Well, it's May 28 and the first time in weeks that I have had time to read your pearls of wisdom. I've installed that PDF converter mentioned above and it works just fine. I consider it a tool, by the way. Hoping your tax season was as profitable as mine, Mr. Easter.
