Kind of short earlier, but seriously. This is what I am doing now, speak to the big guy and get a big bill.
I had a client call this morning, HAD to speak to me, NO ONE else could help her. Sorry John is with a client and left ORDERS NOT to be disturbed.
1.5 hour later I called the client back, she was in court and wanted me to dig out her cell phone bill from June past to show where she made a 911 call. Court case was now concluded, no bill with 911 was found in the file. Krista tells me 911 does not record on a cell phone bill. Go figure, I didn't know this. Add $50.00 to this months bill.
I am following the same policy as most law firms these days, the more the experience, the more the bill. It has freed up my time considerably, and clients are advised that I review the files, but the staff have the basic filings (self employed, employees) down pat. They always ask when not sure. I am proud to say we have 99% accuracy when filing T1's....so far :P . Small T1-ADJ that I take the blame for.
May 01 figures I will actually have time to start training staff on year end ajustments for our corporate clients, expand thier minds so I can expand my vacation schedule.
