New sanctions for registered charities


The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has published Guidelines for Applying the New Sanctions, explaining the new sanctions created to apply to registered charities for non-compliance with the requirements of the Income Tax Act. The new sanctions were created for forms of non-compliance where revoking a charity’s registration was recognized as overly severe.
