A small point but it is annoying and not necessary.
I have a husband and wife client both in their mid seventies.
I just finished their tax returns and one of the warnings is to check the RRSP limit against the Notice of Assessment.
I don't see this as necessary since neither of them can contribute to an RRSP now due to age.
Can we get the criteria of this warning changed to exclude those not eligible to contribute?
Thanks,
Dan

Consider the case of a 72 year old who is claiming an RRSP deduction every year. They made a $2000 overcontribution when 69. They have rental income which qualifies as earned income, so every year they nibble away at their $2000 RRSP over contribution to the amount of (formerly) 18% of last years net rental income.
So they may not be able to contribute but they are able to claim an RRSP contribution deduction.
So they need to check the RRSP contribution limit calculated by the program against CRA's records.
Just for your interest.
