When an amount is shown as owing, due to a required repayment for a taxpayer being a particapant in the HBP(having the repayments for HBP section completed), there is no error message or warning that indicates this. I went and indicated an amount as repayment in the RRSP screen where no RRSP purchases (other than a spousal rrsp) and no warning came up to indicate that he could not repay an amount either because he had no rrsp purchases or that the spousal contribution does not qualify for this repayment. How about some warnings or notices for this area. Seems to simply of a mistake to make but the spousal thing would be a help.
