I think it would be nice if Profile would allow us request that the software remember which spouse applied for the GST/HST Credit on last year's taxes, and have the same spouse apply for it on the current year's return. While I could be wrong, I can't imagine this would be a huge amount of programming work. Currently I type up a carryforward note to the file, so that I remember which of my clients insist that it gets applied for on their return. I've had two cases where a client was quite irate that I'd had the nerve to give the GST to the "wrong" spouse.

Sugggestion on GST/HST Credit

Although it doesn't affect many I would support the suggestion also... Always seem to be a few (and very few) clients who are very concerned over this... A memo does work but can't see this being a big coding issue either...
I did a quick search and came up with the suggestion a few times in the past that were made on the forum outside of direct comments to Intuit... One dating back almost five years...
March of 2006 http://community.int...;hl=GST++Credit This one did have a comment from Intuit.
March of 2002 http://community.int...;hl=GST++Credit
If there was a chance of seeing this there are a few other forms that this could be useful with... like the T1273/T1164 contact or the setting (yes/no) to forward the COPB to the preparer...

Verlin
