This was mentioned previously, but the 2006 T1 has only room for ONE T5007.

We have many clients who have more than one T5007 - for example WCB from more than one province!

Profile, lets add unlimited T5007s to T1 2006; as in previous years!

Sawmill suggested an improvement to the T5007 input area of the software. I agree, it would be convenient to be able to input multiple slips as in the past.

However....... whether or not his suggestion is implemented has little bearing on your ability to file a return for a client in receipt of both WSIB and welfare ........ nor should it restrict you from being able to complete a return for a client with 10 T5007 slips.

Yes, use the tape function to name and add each T5007 slip to the total....

Yes, we are paying premium prices for the software, so that we can total amounts using the calculator tape.

Business as usual!

What is the rush?? I do not think that CRA will process any return until Wednesday.

I'm not perceiving a rush as such, just for Profile to get it together and put back what was in the program previously, but removed in the new and improved "orange" version.

This was initially noted when the first 2006 version came out and it needs to be noted and addressed, before it is the middle of March/April and the common "we'll get around to it with the next release" which never comes.

Now lets be resonable we only paid an addition 30 % for our software, we cant expect it to work perfectly or have all the features it previously had. We would have to pay at least a 50% increase for that to happen. Wait cha ching , cha ching, do I hear Intuit cash bell ringing. and the best yet would be that Harv wouldn't be able to answer the complaints with his standard reply. Harv, you haven't answered this thread yet, be a sport. Maybe there should be a sperate section T1 Complaints, that way all issues would be in one section for Intuit and when resloved the last posting would be from Intuit when it is fixed. I second that idea.

I have played with the T5007 slips a bit and the new set up allocates the T5007 income to the spouse with the higher income automatically... :)

I agree with you Sam; my comment was to Melotm who needed to file a return ASAP

James, it is tax season! If a client comes in and I have completed their return, yes I want to file it ASAP. I didn't think it was an unreasonable request to have unlimited slips of the T5007.

Just out of ignorant curiosity, how many T5007's would one expect per tax return? I have never done more than one on a return. I guess recipients use the free tax services down here?

I guess I never considered it tax season until I could efile and expect the return to be processed. but then again, I do not deal with standard T1 returns and most of my clients do start bringing their T1 returns until the end of the the month.
