In my opinion, this is a polite way of saying that this new discussion forum format is a real pain in the ass!!!!
It now takes way too much time to wade through the various topics to pick out the material that is actually of interest. We have some worthwhile messages in T1, some in T2 and others in Private Members General. In order not to miss anything important, I have to open each category and check the threads just in case someone posted there (likely because they were unsure where to post or if there was a "better" place to post their thoughts).
We have Hardev commenting that a FX message was posted in the "wrong" area even though there is no FX section to post to.
The "Private Members" section has only 2 categories, Coffee Room and General.
What is going on? This used to be one of the best features of buying Profile and now I find it severely lacking in neat, clean organizational usefulness.
And the big question...why in the heck are we dealing with this type of a change in our busiest time of year? Why wouldn't these changes be implemented in July so that the time was available to work the bugs out?
Is this a done deal or could we possibly go back to the useful, organized way it was and deal with "a new way" later (preferably when I am playing golf in July)?
Dan
PS: I could care less how many posts I or anyone else have submitted. By reading the insightful, timely feedback to comments and questions over the past several years, I have learned who the "smart" posters are. And by the way, thanks guys for your help over the years!! However, I fear that this new format is going to either discourage your responses or make it more difficult to find them.
Change for the sake of change is never a good thing, but it appears to be the only reason that we have lost a valuable tool!!
