WE CURRENTLY USE DUAL MONITORS AND ARE IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING TO 3 MONITORS FOR EACH WORKSTATION. IT WOULD BE NICE TO BE ABLE TO REVIEW SIDE BY SIDE SCREENS OF PROFILE. THIS WOULD BE ESPECIALLY USEFUL FOR MULTIPLE ASSOCIATED COMPANYS AND FOR COMPARING TO PRIOR YEARS RETURNS.

Our office is currently moving to dual monitors and we too would appreciate it if Profile's dual monitor abilities were enhanced somewhat. It seems to me that at one time Stephen King was singing the praises of multiple monitors in one of Profile's periodic newsletters. It's sort of ironic that Profile is the one program we use that has not put a great deal of effort into enhancing multiple monitor abilities.

Other forums indicate to us that multiple monitors are becoming the norm in the accounting industry.

As an interim work around suggestion, have you considered running virtual machines? Search VMware player if you are not familiar with the concept. It would add some complications, but would let you run as many copies of any program as you want (subject to memory limitations).

You can run multiple instances of ProFile by adding /Multi to the shortcut in the target area:

"C:\Your ProFile installation\ProFile.exe" /multi

Thanks Carl,

Just tried it and it works! Just wondering if it has always been that way or did you just program it?

Carl

Just noticed that if you have a file opened on Profile and then start a second version of Profile it automatically opens the same file that you have on the first version. Just a little bug you need to clean up.
