The NR6 and associated non-resident forms are included in the FX package.
I believe that the T1 package is designed primarily for resident Canadians.
Part-time residents and non-residents are exceptions to the rule and should be handled as such.
I noticed that your posts are all regarding non-residents which are out of the norm. I don't believe that any tax software program can allow for ALL the different scenarios of residency without either costing way too much or non-workable.
I think it is better to have the user override for each situation. Makes for more work when reviewing the final product but then you know it is right!

All my 200+ clients are Canadians living in the US. They are the norm for me. Taxprep handles every nonresident situation including a nonresident that has QC salary. I just don't like taxprep. Never have.
Intuit is generally world-class. Just offering suggestions on the T1/TP1 shortfalls. An NR6 would be directly related to the Sec 216 return prepared in the T1 pkg.
