Since we are required to prepare tax return preparation checklist, in my humble opinion it would be great if we could add our own questions to the Active Auditor.

Excellent suggestion Bert.

Perhaps ProFile might want to go one step further and actually include a checklist (which we could modify to suit our individual needs).

I know there are many excellent ones out there, some developed by the various accounting bodies, some we have each developed ourselves.

Perhaps a rather generic one to start with and then we could keep the checklists attached directly to the individual client files. The more I can get into the program the more useful it is to me. I am trying very hard to make the tax preparation part of the business as paperless as possible. With two sets of backups per day, one of which leaves the office every night, I am starting to get close and the more I can keep with the client's file electronically, the happier I will be.

Actually, I did some work on it yesterday, and got it to work by adding memos to fields, and then setting up that file as a template. I will attach it to this post for anyone interested

Does not seem like it wants me to attach the file. Anyone interested, please send me an email, and I will send it to you.

Very much appreciated, Bert, but could you also indicate how to print out all the messages -
I tried to open the <NoName> file and selected to print Tapes Summary, Audit summary,
etc. and got nothing off the printer. Don;t know where the heck it went, up in the air maybe?

Hi Bert,
I have enjoyed many of your posts over the years. Thanks for taking the time. I would like the template if you have the time to email to me. I hesitate to provide my email address here. Can you post directly to my message?
Thanks,
Bill
